6.5 Grendel runs on a standard mil-spec AR-15 lower. Your existing lower, buffer tube, and stock stay where they are. Only the upper, barrel, bolt, and magazines change. For a walk-in hunt in timber or river bottom, it is the practical answer nearly every time.
